Rollators
Master everyday life independently and safely
Rollators have become an indispensable aid for people with mobility impairments. It helps users to move around independently and provides the necessary stability and safety in everyday life. Both people with disabilities and senior citizens benefit from this. The great advantage of rollators is that, unlike other walking aids, they do not need to be lifted off the ground at any time. They can also be fitted with a wide range of accessories and can be used as a seat for resting and taking a breather.
Our manufacturers are always striving to further develop and optimize their products. The demands are very high. For example, rollators must be easy to handle and steer, but also fall-proof and easy to store. Good brakes are also important to guarantee safety in dangerous situations or during breaks.
How to find the right rollator for your needs
It is important to know that not all rollators are the same. In addition to standard products, usually with a steel frame, there are also models that have been specially developed for specific areas of use and impairments. Together we will find the right model for you.
Rollators for indoor use
A rollator for indoor use does not need a lot of equipment. What is important is that it is easy to maneuver and has a small turning circle. This is why rollators with smaller, freely rotating tires are suitable for the home. The width should also be adapted to the doors in the home so that all routes can be negotiated easily and without collisions. It should also be lightweight so that any door thresholds can be overcome.
Rollators for outdoor use
For outdoor use, however, there are other requirements. For example, the rollators must also ensure a safe gait on uneven and unpaved paths. Good brakes are also required for slopes and climbs. An outdoor rollator should therefore be equipped with large tires with tread. A stable seat function is also essential for breaks. Furthermore, the rollator should be easily expandable with accessories such as baskets or bags for shopping, for example. And last but not least, it should have a folding function so that it can be easily transported in the car.
Electric rollators
There are now also electric rollators that make pushing easier. These have an integrated rechargeable battery and are charged at a standard power socket. Electric rollators are primarily designed for outdoor use and provide support on inclines and long distances.
